I HAD TO DATE IN THE DARK

Angelas eczema was so bad it put her in a coma but the cure was so simple......

ANGELA REAY 32 AUCKLAND

“ I'd had eczema since I was a baby, ugly red scaly patches covered my hands kness and feet and i was constantly being smothered in creams and wrapped in bandages like an egyptian mummy.

By the time I was 11 my eczema was dreadful. Doctors prescribed cortisone cream but it didnt help. The red scaly rash covered most of my body making me itch like mad. Kids would tease me mercilessly.

Later dating was a real nightmare. I limited my dates to night outings- I looked passably well in the dark

I tried various natural remedies but none seemd to work. Then when I was 20 I met Jack 27. He was well built with dark hair and clear olive skin and didnt seem to mind about my eczema.

We fell in love and got engaged. Our daughter Anya was born a year later. Luckily her skin was perfect.. sadly after 9 years together Jack and I separated. The split and being a single mother brought my eczema to new extremes. I started to get fevers too.
”Your bodys going into shock It cant regulate the temperature” said my GP. he sent me to hospital where a skin specialist examined me.

“Theres something we use to control rejection for heart transplant patients he said Its called cyclosporin. We’ve had some success with eczema patients with it It can have side effects but it might work for you”.

“Ill try anything” I said.

I gulped down the tablets day and night and woke up one morning to the most beautiful skin I had ever seen. every week I had blood tests to check my white blood cell count, the specialist had warned the drugcould affect my immune system - but every thing was fine.

However I began to catch colds quite frequently. Then they quickly became severe asthma attacks. One night I collapsed gasping for breath. I was rushed to hospital and hooked up on ventolin until I recovered.

Then I was put on steroid tablets to boost my lung strength. My cyclosporin dose was also lowered. It wasnt enough. 3 months later my breathing seemed to stop and I dropped into blackness.

I woke up in hospital. I had been in a coma for 3 days on a life support system. I was in hospital for 8 days but just a few months later I was back covered in eczema and running a temperature of 42 degrees.

I was dipped in a bath of a purple solution, slatherd in cortisone cream and wrapped in gladwrap. I had moisturiser smeared all over my body 3 times a day for a week until I was discharged.

Eczema was ruining my life.

Then one day Mum came over with some soap “ I met a woman who had eczema for years until she discovered this soap.” she gave me some to try out. I looked at the label - SABUN OLIVE AND LAUREL OIL SOAP

That night I showered with the soap. It smelt of herbs I didnt recognise.

In the morning I noticed my skin had retained its natural moisture. I waited for the itching to begin but it didnt. I kept using the soap and watched the redness melt away. Then I gingerly applied it to my face. The result was incredible. Now 5 months later 95 percent of my eczema has disappeared.

Nobody could believe the difference in my skin -or me. I feel like a new person too. Im so grateful to mum for finding this product and feel Ive been reborn.

I still cant believe a simple remedy from my local grocer cured me when a prescription drug nearly killed me.
